Joe Carroll is an award-winning filmmaker and screenwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. His recent credits include writing and directing "Lethal Legacy," on BET+ and directing the highly anticipated biopic "Fighting to be Me," releasing in 2025. In addition, Carroll has worked under the writers and producers of many hit TV series including "Bel-Air," "The Chi,"
"The Resident," "Revenge," "Nashville," and "Scandal."
In 2014, Carroll wrote and created BACKGROUND, a one hour drama, and later wrote and co-created "Ms. Incorporated," an award-winning mini-series that was later distributed on Amazon VOD.
In 2017, Carroll made national headlines after impersonating celebrity comedian Hannibal Buress and crashing the red carpet event for Marvel's "Spiderman: Homecoming."
Currently, Carroll is developing a new catalog of pilots and feature films, as well as adapting the Sinful Confessions series for TV.
When not writing or filming, Carroll enjoys spending time with family and friends in Los Angeles, California, where he currently resides.
